revolutionising the law
rradar is an ambitious company established in 2012 by corporate defence lawyer Gary Gallen. The firm has huge plans for growth and has relocated its headquarters to new offices in order to accommodate its ongoing expansion at The Beacon, a grade-A office development. RFD provided a full office fit out that meets this creative vision.
Spray art & law
rradar have more personality as a law firm than most. Lifesize inspirational characters were spray graffitied onto the meeting room walls to add drama!
Image and mood
Creative workspaces for the tech team, bench step bleacher seats and cool branding make up some great work spaces for the teams
Removing the limits of traditional thinking
Other highlights include a pool table, golf putting green and swings on the ground floor for employees. Garden rooms provide tranquility for focused discussion and deep concentration. Cork wall surfaces provide unique tactile and acoustic properties that provides a feeling of warmth while being a natural insulator.
Zen rooms
Part of the brief was to design garden rooms inspired by the far east. These were for lawyers to find inner peace!
Colour tone texture
Our brief was to create interactive spaces which wake the senses this even included piping dedicated smells into spaces to invigorate the mind!
Warming ambience
Gary Gallen the CEO was keen to have informal spaces for meetings to relax the state of mind of his staff to promote healthy working.
The writing’s on the wall
Quotes and illustration continue throughout the building, alongside with contemporary artworks. RFD designed interior spray artwork, executed by Hull’s Spray Creative, for a modern, striking twist on inspiration quotes and figures.
Motivational talk
One key factor to the design was to inspire the staff in each space. Many quotes from influential and courageous characters were introduced for this.
Expanding further
rradar have also expanded into Leeds where RFD have created an exciting and modern office environment in line with the brand identity from their head office.
Graffiti fun
Part of the brief was to work with the brand and offer some quirky and fun associated graffiti art to complement the colours and brand personality!
How we did it...
rradar has invested £600k to fit out the three-storey, 14380 sq ft office on The Beacon with floors one and two comprise open-plan offices. RFD project managed the interior design with an open book procurement package.
