Building Control ensures that building work is carried out to a high standard in the interest of the health, safety and welfare of the occupiers, users and the public at large. It is exercised under the Building Act and through the application of the Building Regulations. RFD consult with both local authority building control and private companies and where requested we can provide 3rd party building control approval to ensure our clients projects conform.
RFD can advise on workplace sustainability and energy efficiency. We can also advise on products which are both eco friendly and help savings in the future.
Creating a sustainable project begins at the offset and our design team integrate the principles of sustainability and energy efficiency into creating a modern, stylish, eco efficient, green office. To further enhance the sustainability of the project RFD can also advise on interior products for BREEAM assessed schemes. A sustainable office will be helpful in meeting government targets and building regulations on energy efficiency. In addition sustainability and energy efficiency can help to reduce energy bills without a prohibitive increase in costs.
Architecture can cross over into interior design on many levels
For this reason we offer architectural services especially on larger projects where structural issues are concerned via our RIBA accredited consultant architect.
